Supper and Speaker
Sunday, September 19th 4:00-7:00
Our monthly Supper and Speaker series will continue this Sunday with SMYPP member Dr. Cecil Coutinho who will examine the role of science in society and the presence of God within the scientific realm. While theology and science are two different disciplines, he will highlight numerous ways in which they are complementary. The talk will examine how God directs nature which has in turn directed multiple scientific achievements. Cecil will also discuss common misconceptions which aim to replace God with science and will arm the audience with intellectual scientific and theological facts.

About the speaker: Dr. Cecil Coutinho is currently a senior engineer at Ashland and an active young adult at SMYPP. Before moving to Delaware, Dr. Coutinho worked on staff at EINK-MIT in Cambridge, helping to develop the next generation Amazon Kindle E-readers. He will detail the role faith has played in his life throughout his scientific career.
