SMYPP March Mass

On this past Sunday, March 4th, 27 SMYPP members (old and new!) gathered together to attend the noon mass at St. Mary’s.  Our group president, Tom Bounds, was the lector, and Fr. Dillingham gave the homily. Before his homily, Fr. D. mentioned how glad he was to see a growing group of young members in the Catholic church (go SMYPP!).

After mass, we enjoyed a late lunch of pizza, pasta, and jambalaya.  For dessert, we had a special birthday celebration for fellow member Mike Ausberger, which included birthday cake, salchichon de chocolate, and other fun treats. After our meal, members played Taboo, Hebanz, and others. During the festivities, Deacon Joe was able stop by and talk with us.  He commented on how board games can be a great way to get to know other people; when we just let loose and play games, the facades people build can come down.
